Music for Babies

A fun and interactive class for mothers and babies featuring fundamentals of movement in the context of music. Babies are also aurally and visually connected to the melodic line and rhythms. Mothers will enjoy this special time to bind with their child.
Any new family that has never taken lessons at Falls Baptist Music School can participate in Music for Babes for free during the Spectacular Music Festival, 11am–12pm.

Violin for Tots
$65
An immersive program designed to teach toddlers the basic skills of violin playing in a fun and interactive environment.
Any new family that has never taken lessons at Falls Baptist Music School can participate in Violin for Tots for free during the Spectacular Music Festival, 9am–12pm.
Required supplies: blue foam violin provided by the music school ($17).
Beginner Violin
$85
New-to-violin children 4th grade and down can participate in a special beginner track in the Junior Division of Spectacular Strings.
Any new family that has never taken lessons at Falls Baptist Music School can enroll a 4-6 year old in the Beginner Track for free during the Spectacular Music Festival, 9am–12pm.
Required supplies: violin. Violins can be rented from William Harris Lee, Co., if you register by June 1, 2024!
Junior Division Strings
(Elementary Level)$85
Any level string player 4th grade and down can participate in the Junior Division program of Spectacular Strings. Learn and explore elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, violin/cello technique, while learning new pieces!
Daily classes from 9am–12pm.
Required supplies: violin or cello. Instruments can be rented from William Harris Lee, Co., if you register by June 1, 2024!
Senior Division Strings
(All Levels)$275
Any level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced) string player 5th grade and older can participate in the Senior Division string program of Spectacular Strings.
Daily classes from 9am-8:30pm. Includes daily technique classes, repertoire classes, ensemble skills and orchestra classes. Enrichment opportunities include free concerts, masterclasses, and preaching times. Tuition includes lunch and dinner, Monday through Friday.
Required supplies: instrument, folding music stand, pencil.
Senior Division Piano
(Intermediate & Advanced Levels)$275
Any level of pianist can participate in the piano track focusing on the skills necessary for congregational hymnplaying. Since the classes are divided by level, skills classes, focusing on drilling and applying the necessary skills for hymnplaying, are taught at your level. The skill classes cover scales, chords, octaves, inversions, broken chords, arpeggios, cadences, modulations, transposition, arranging, and more!
Daily classes from 9am-8:30 pm include skills classes by level, applied lectures (on topics such as: the background of hymnplaying, proper improvisation for the different types of hymns, introductions, invitations, preludes, and hymnplaying pedagogy), written theory and aural skills, percussion and handbell ensembles, private lessons, guided lab practice, masterclasses, free concerts and interactive activities.
Tuition includes lunch and dinner, Monday through Friday.

Elementary Piano Track

Daily classes from 9am-12:00 pm for piano students 4th grade and down. Learn and explore elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, and movement while learning new pieces to perform on the chimes!

Winds, Brass, & Percussion
$275
Any level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced) woodwind or brass player 5th grade and older can participate in the Senior Division wind & brass program of Spectacular Music Festival.
Daily classes from 9am-8:30pm. Includes daily technique classes, repertoire classes, ensemble skills and band classes. Enrichment opportunities include free concerts, masterclasses, and preaching times. Tuition includes lunch and dinner, Monday through Friday.

chamber music camp
$475
Designed for the serious musician, this camp opportunity will teach students how to focus, how to practice more effectively, and how to collaborate constructively with other players in chamber group settings. We are excited to bring in our guest chamber musicians and teachers who will provide coaching for those involved in the Chamber Camp. Tuition includes lunch and dinner, Monday through Friday of both weeks.
Flexibility depending on the student or chamber group’s specific needs and schedules. Includes:
- 4 hours per day of private practice (guided | accountability)
- 2 hours per day of chamber music (practice or coaching)
- 3 lessons per week
- Special events
Tuition is for both weeks and meals. Housing, if needed, for both weeks is $200 total.
