Falls Baptist Academy

Skillful in Wisdom. Excellent in Spirit. Serving the Lord.

Falls Baptist Academy, a ministry of Falls Baptist Church, was founded in 1984. From its inception and continuing through today, Falls Baptist Academy strives to young people who know and love Jesus Christ, and through a well-developed process, transform into Spirit-filled leaders serving the next generation.

In an age dominated by humanistic philosophies, Falls Baptist Academy has determined to be based on Christ and His Word. Since the philosophy of a school will determine its curriculum and procedures, Falls Baptist Academy strives to apply a genuinely biblical philosophy in every class and activity in order to help each student grow in his love for the Lord and in his desire to serve God wholeheartedly.

“And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”

– Daniel 12:3 –

Our Purpose & Philosophy

Scripture teaches repeatedly that the aim of the Christian life, and thus the ultimate goal of Christian education, is to develop Christlikeness in the believer in thought, word, and deed (Romans 12:2; Colossians 3:10; 2 Peter. 1:4). Therefore, the process of Christian education seeks to help the student to learn of God (Matthew 11:29) and to develop godly wisdom (Proverbs 4:5, 7) that manifests itself in a changed life (James 3:13). True Christian education fosters in the student a genuine desire to apply and obey the truths of Scripture in order that God would receive the glory (Matt. 5:16; 1 Corinthians 10:31). Falls Baptist Academy exists to assist parents in the fulfillment of their sacred responsibilities to provide for their children an academically sound, Christ-centered education based on the principles of the Word of God.

The Goal

Christlike Character

Christlike Character

Since the ultimate objective of Christian education is the development of Christlike character in each young person, Falls Baptist Academy seeks to make this goal apparent in everything that is done. Therefore, every subject that is taught and every activity that is undertaken is done so with God's purposes in view. FBA seeks to challenge Christian young people to mature spiritually, to be loyal to God's Word, and to be willing to do His will.

An Emphasis:

Physical, Spiritual, & Social Development

Physical, Spiritual, & Social Development

True education includes more than just academics. It encompasses physical, spiritual, and social development as well (Luke 2:52). Thus Falls Baptist Academy seeks to provide social, recreational, and service opportunities for Christian young people in a structured, wholesome climate which is conducive to spiritual growth. Such opportunities enable students to apply the spiritual truths taught in the home and the classroom in their day-to-day activities and in their relationships with others. Likewise, developing in each student an appreciation of the fine arts, wholesome desires and discretion in physical recreation, and an appreciation of our country and its freedoms are real goals of this Academy.

A Priority:

Academic Excellence

Academic Excellence

Falls Baptist Academy also strives for academic excellence in order to prepare students for a life of effective service to God. FBA believes in traditional educational procedures and emphasizes the basics in building an academic foundation. The academic curriculum focuses on preparing and enabling the student to communicate effectively with others, to work responsibly and productively in a technically oriented society, to further his Christian and American heritage, and to apply biblical wisdom in daily life. Students seek to understand not only the Bible, but also language, literature, mathematics, history, music, and the natural sciences. Students are challenged to work independently and to think for themselves as they build convictions that will stand under the pressures of modern culture.

A Catalyst:

Musical Development

Musical Development

Additionally, music training is available to all students through the Academy’s conservatory approach to instruction. The skills and discipline of musicianship help equip young people for future service for Jesus Christ. Each student’s regimen includes private lessons, small group, master class, theory instruction and orchestra/band under top instructors.

Our Staff

Falls Baptist Academy is blessed to have a dedicated and caring staff who demonstrate a commitment to the purpose of this Academy and who show genuine concern for each student. Every teacher approaches students with a discipleship perspective, recognizing that knowledge, wisdom, and understanding begin with the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:7, 9:10). In each class, teachers endeavor to present all subject content through a proper respect for God as the heavenly Father, acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior, submission to the Holy Spirit as Teacher and Enabler, and the student as the child and servant of his Lord. Teachers understand that unless they reach the student’s heart, no real learning can take place and no eternal value will follow their work. Subjects are approached through intentional teaching emphasizing excellence through a process of grammar (vocabulary and essential concepts), logic (reasoning and skill processes), and rhetoric (beautiful presentation and evaluation). Special regard is given to reading, math, and reasoning skills.
