Music for Babes


A fun and interactive class for mothers and babies featuring fundamentals of movement in the context of music.  Babies are also aurally and visually connected to the melodic line and rhythms.  Mothers will enjoy this special time to bind with their child.

Tuesday, 11:00-11:30 a.m.

Violin for Tots


A four semester program designed to teach toddlers the basic skills of violin playing in a fun and interactive environment.  A few semesters or the entire four- semester program is advisable prior to formal violin instruction.

Time

Tuesdays, 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Ages

2-4 years of age

Fee

$50.00 (Regular special: FREE for 4th child in a family registered in music school) | Additional fee for a first-semester student's purchase of a foam violin

Face-to-Face

Program for Moms

Each Tuesday morning, Moms are invited to participate in a Bible Study with Pastor and other practical training electives. This event goes from 9:00-11:00 each Tuesday.

Private MUSIC Lesson PackageS

Time

30 minute, 45 minute, or 60 minute lesson (individually scheduled)

Weeks

There are six weeks of lessons available:

  • Students may register for 3, 4, 5, or 6 lessons
  • Those who register for 6 weeks will be invited to participate in an intensive practice and master class event (late August)
  • Evaluations will be on a sign-up basis
  • Groups will meet every week, beginning June 11th and ending July 31st.

Start Date

June 10th (no lessons week of July 1st & 15th ) | Ending week of July 29th | Teachers may start private lessons the week of June 3rd or teach during weeks of July 1st or July 15 to accommodate for summer schedule as needed.

Ages

Beginner (3 ½ years of age with appropriate Violin for Tots experience ) to Advanced | Beginners may start at age 4 without previous Violin for Tots experience

Automatic registration into group lessons with private lesson registration

Strings

  • Beginner through Elementary Levels (2nd grade and down): Tuesday, 10:15-11:00 a.m.
  • Intermediate Levels: 3rd grade +: Tuesday, 11:00-11:45 a.m.
  • Intermediate through Advanced: | Wednesday, 4:30-5:15 p.m. 

Piano

  • Beginner: Tuesday, 12:00 to 12:30 p.m.
  • Elementary Level: Tuesday, 12:30 to 1:00 p.m.
  • Intermediate (Middle School and some early high school—placed by teacher): Tuesday, 12:00 to 12:30 p.m.
  • Intermediate through Advanced:  Wednesday, 4:00-4:30 p.m. or 5:30-6:00 p.m.

Winds & Brass

Wednesday, 5:30-6:00 p.m.

Ages

3 ½ years (when completed with Tots) and up

Please Note: Students may attend group lessons every week on the summer calendar, even if they sign up for only 3, 4, or 5 lessons.

Other Financial Details

Register by April 16: Registration Fee Waived May 15: Summer Registration closed (no refunds after this point if payments have been made) July 1: Pay the entire summer bill in full and receive a 5% discount OR pay half by July 1, and the balance by August 1.

An immersive program designed to teach toddlers the basic skills of violin playing in a fun and interactive environment. Any new family that has never taken lessons at Falls Baptist Music School can participate in Violin for Tots for free during the Spectacular Music Festival, 9am–12pm.

Children 4th grade and down can participate in skill-level tracks in the Junior Division of Spectacular Strings. Any new family that has never taken lessons at Falls Baptist Music School can enroll a 4-6 year old in the Beginner Track for free during the Spectacular Music Festival, 9am–12pm. 

Senior Camp

Daily classes from 9am-8:30pm. Includes daily technique classes, repertoire classes, ensemble skills and orchestra classes. Enrichment opportunities include free concerts, masterclasses, and preaching times.

Winds, Brass, & Percussion

Any level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced) player 5th grade and older can participate in the Spectacular Music Festival.

Advanced Piano

Piano Hymn-playing Class

"Skills & Drills"

A class focusing on drilling and properly applying the skills necessary for hymn playing. Skills include scales, chords, octaves, inversions, broken chords, arpeggios, cadences, modulations, and more.

"Playing the Hymns"

A class focused on incorporating proper improvisation into the different kinds of hymns as well as learning how to successfully play introductions & invitations.

"In-Person Instruction & Guided Lab Practice"

A time of personal instruction.

Chamber Camp

A two-week intensive, the first of which coincides with the Spectacular Festival

Overview

Designed for the serious musician, this camp opportunity will teach students how to focus, how to practice more effectively, and how to collaborate constructively with other players in chamber group settings.  We are excited to bring in our guest chamber musicians and teachers who will provide coaching for those involved in the Chamber Camp.

Flexibility depending on the student or chamber group’s specific needs and schedules. Includes:

  • 4 hours per day of private practice (guided | accountability)
  • 2 hours per day of chamber music (practice or coaching)
  • 3 lessons per week

Violin: at least at Preludium and Allegro level
Viola: at least at Telemann Concerto (at a fluent level)
